The Gorges, gorges of the Toulourenc are beautiful. They are situated in the very south and the river Toulerenc is the border between the Dr\u00f4me and the Vaucluse. It is near Mollans-sur-Ouv\u00e8ze and Malauc\u00e8nes which is in the Vaucluse. Here is a walk through the water that is also very nice to do with the whole family. We did it with two adults on a weekday in autumn and it is also very enjoyable. It can be very busy in high summer. You can choose to go back and forth through the water or to take a higher footpath on the way back, which we did. Be careful not to do this walk when it is raining or when it threatens to rain. The water may rise suddenly, especially during thunderstorms.<\/p>\n

To get there: From Malauc\u00e8ne, take the D242 in the direction of the hamlet of Veaux. From the hamlet of Veaux, continue on the D242 for about 500m. Park at the bridge over the river Toulourenc.<\/p>\n

From the bridge over the Toulourenc you walk upstream along the river. Once at the water it is very easy. You just follow the river there and back for about 9km. You pass through small gorges with beautiful blue water.<\/p>\n
It is lovely and cool in the water on a hot August day of over 35\u00b0C. You walk in many places in gorges de toulourenc Dr\u00f4mede shade. After you have walked through all the small gorges, you will come to a rocky outcrop which you will have to clamber over. The rocks are large and close together, and here and there the water can flow fast. The rocks can also be slippery, so be careful. Especially with small children. If the water is low enough, you can walk along the side, but that is not always the case.<\/p>\n
Gorges de Toulourenc Dr\u00f4meAfter the rocky part, the river becomes wider and the water calmer. It is then about a 1km walk before it comes to little beaches and finally a bridge over the water with a parking place. Here you can choose to walk back through the water or to take the GR91, which leads uphill after a short distance along the river.
